Our Structure

We are in the Episcopal tradition, although we are technically non-denominational... or you could also say multi-denominational. Some of our congregation are from Anglican background, some from "free" churches, and in fact we probably have representatives from most traditions or denominations. Several of our folks have "Brethren" roots.

We have Ordained Minister's (Deacon's and Presbyters) and episcopal oversight (a Bishop). You can check our Bishop out here in Spain on one of his visits, or click here for a little more info or even click here. You can find out more about our Ordained Ministers here (Senior Pastor) and here (Assistant Pastor).

We meet regularly as a Pastor's Council (PC) and do our best to make most decisions by concensus, even thought the PC exists constitutionally to "advise" the Senior Pastor. We currently are 4 people - all ordained ministers, plus the Senior Pastor's wife Lynette, and Jacque Kirtley.

You can find a copy of our current Constitution on our Member's Pages. The PC endeavours to provide Spiritual vision, oversight, and guidance to the body placed under our care by way of serving those we are privileged to lead.

We also have an Interim Church Council (iCC). This exists to provide practical help in running the church. Our Treasurer sits here, and two others with different skills. These posts are both flexible and non-permanent to make way for God's best to be exhibited. The PC highly values the effort and skills given so far by these folks.

We are a part of the E.E.C. - the Evangelical Episcopal Church, and are also part of a much larger movement - the Convergence Movement - which seeks to worship God drawing on all three main streams - the Sacramental, the Charismatic, and the Evangelical.

We are a Registered Church in Spain, and have been in Benissa since 2003

Back then it was called "New Beginnings" and although the congregation and leadership have changed over the years, God's desire for people to be called into His Kingdom from the Costa Blanca has not changed.
