Our Team

The biblical model of church government is that of a plurality of local church elders who shepherd a self-governing body. As a church plant, The King’s Church was started with just one elder/pastor, Stephen Coppenrath. The desire and goal is to move steadily, though not hastily, to a model of a plurality of two additional lay elders that have been called, identified, tested, trained and approved. In the interim period before The King’s Church has at least two lay elders, Pastor Stephen will work in collaboration with an external Advisory Board. This Advisory Board will consist of a group of men of various contexts who will hold the eldership accountable; provide wise counsel and encouragement; and review major ministry decisions.
